Docker Installation

SqlBak Agent can run in Docker using the pranasnet/sqlbak-agent image.

Docker is useful when you want to run the agent in an isolated environment, connect it to SqlBak, and configure database access through container commands or environment variables.

Quick example

Run the agent container:

docker run -d --name sqlbak_agent -v sqlbak_data:/etc/sqlbak.net --restart unless-stopped pranasnet/sqlbak-agent:mysql

Available tags: mysql, postgresql, mssql

Connect the agent to SqlBak:

docker exec -i sqlbak_agent sqlbak agent connect --secret-key=ask_5x6KJJQw6oOBJx0JEknc4TIIesaG --server-name=<name_on_dashboard>

The container stores agent data under /etc/sqlbak.net, so mount this path as a volume to keep settings after container updates or recreation.
